On February 26th, 2025, Carlos García Delgado, a partner from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), welcomed Environmental Sciences students to visit the mesocosm setup of the LIFE MySOIL project.
The visit was part of the course Environmental Remediation Technologies, providing students with hands-on learning about biopiles. During the session, Carlos García Delgado conducted an on-site class, offering insights into this remediation technique.
As part of the project, UAM is responsible for assessing biotreatability and producing fungal inocula for the Spanish demonstration site, where a small-scale mycoremediation pilot was conducted.
