Cynthia Alcántara, partner from KEPLER Ingeniería y Ecogestión, presented results of the LIFE MySOIL project at the MICROBETECH 2025 conference, held in Ljubljana (Slovenia) on May 27th-29th.

During her presentation, entitled “The potential of fungal application during the treatment of TPH and HTF-contaminated soils in biopiles as bioremediation strategy”, she shared key findings from two LIFE MySOIL pilot sites in Spain focused on the remediation of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) and Heat Transfer Fluids (HTF).

The presentation, included in block 3 of the conference “Expanding applications beyond Bioremediation” chaired by Prof. Philippe Corvini, highlighted the effectiveness of nature-based and mycoremediation strategies applied at both contaminated sites.
