Carlos García Delgado, project partner from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, has exhibited two posters based on LIFE MySOIL research during the 33rd Annual Meeting of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), held in Dublin (Ireland) and online between April 30th-May 4th, 2023.
The first poster, entitled “Bioremediation of polluted soils with petroleum hydrocarbons by four spent mushroom substrates”, assesses the ability of four spent mushroom substrates (SMS) (Lentinula edodes, Pleurotus ostreatus, Pleurotus eryngii and Agaricus bisporus) to bioremediate a polluted soil from an oil refinery as part of the LIFE MySOIL project.
The second poster is called “Biopiles design for mycoremediation of soils contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons”, and has the objective of assessing the bioremediation of contaminated soil with TPHs by layers of SMS in the development of new biopiles.
These works were included in the session “Bioremediation and Phytoremediation of Aquatic and Terrestrial Contaminated Ecosystems”, chaired by Anna Barra Caracciolo, Michel Chalot and José Julio Ortega-Calvo.
