{"id":8957,"date":"2025-05-28T07:40:20","date_gmt":"2025-05-28T07:40:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifemysoil.eu\/life-mysoil-presented-at-the-green-deal-in-biotechnology-congress-in-aveiro\/"},"modified":"2025-05-28T07:40:20","modified_gmt":"2025-05-28T07:40:20","slug":"life-mysoil-presented-at-the-green-deal-in-biotechnology-congress-in-aveiro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifemysoil.eu\/it\/life-mysoil-presented-at-the-green-deal-in-biotechnology-congress-in-aveiro\/","title":{"rendered":"LIFE MySOIL presented at the Green Deal in Biotechnology Congress in Aveiro"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]The <a href=\"https:\/\/lifemysoil.eu\/it\/\">LIFE MySOIL project<\/a> was recently showcased at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.efbiotechnology.org\/green_deal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Green Deal in Biotechnology Congress<\/a><\/strong>, organized by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.efbiotechnology.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Federation of Biotechnology<\/a><\/strong> and held in <strong>Aveiro, Portugal<\/strong>, from <strong>26 to 28 May 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. <strong>Alessandro D\u2019Annibale<\/strong>, Associate Professor at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitus.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Tuscia<\/a><\/strong> and one of the project\u2019s partners, presented the Italian pilot case in a <strong>selected oral communication<\/strong> during <strong>Session 1: <em>Innovative Solutions in Bioremediation<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>His talk, titled <strong>\u201cScaling up mycoremediation: a full-scale pilot study on hydrocarbon-contaminated soil\u201d<\/strong>, opened the session and received significant attention from an international audience of researchers and professionals in environmental biotechnology.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation focused on the full-scale application of <strong>mycoremediation<\/strong> in Italy. The pilot relied on the use of <strong>spent mushroom substrates (SMS)<\/strong> from <em>Pleurotus ostreatus<\/em> and <em>Agaricus bisporus<\/em> as soil amendments and fungal inoculants for the bioremediation of hydrocarbon-contaminated soils.
