[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Carlos Garc\u00eda Delgado<\/strong>, project partner from the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid<\/a>, has exhibited two posters based on LIFE MySOIL research during the 33rd<\/sup> Annual Meeting of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC)<\/strong><\/a>, held in Dublin (Ireland) and online between April 30th<\/sup>-May 4th<\/sup>, 2023.<\/p>\n

The first poster, entitled \u201cBioremediation of polluted soils with petroleum hydrocarbons by four spent mushroom substrates<\/em><\/strong>\u201d, assesses the ability of four spent mushroom substrates (SMS) (Lentinula edodes<\/em>, Pleurotus ostreatus<\/em>, Pleurotus eryngii<\/em> and Agaricus bisporus)<\/em> to bioremediate a polluted soil from an oil refinery as part of the LIFE MySOIL project.<\/p>\n

The second poster is called \u201cBiopiles design for mycoremediation of soils contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons<\/em><\/strong>\u201d, and has the objective of assessing the bioremediation of contaminated soil with TPHs by layers of SMS in the development of new biopiles.<\/p>\n

These works were included in the session \u201cBioremediation and Phytoremediation of Aquatic and Terrestrial Contaminated Ecosystems<\/em>\u201d, chaired by Anna Barra Caracciolo<\/strong>, Michel Chalot<\/strong> and Jos\u00e9 Julio Ortega-Calvo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

SETAC<\/a> is a non-profit, worldwide professional organisation dedicated to the study, analysis and solution of environmental problems, the management and regulation of natural resources, research and development, and environmental education.<\/p>\n
