In this workshop, you will be able to discover the full potential of mycoremediation to clean up contaminated soils. In particular, attendees could know more about some lessons learnt using this technology, as well as its limitations and future steps for its scale up.<\/p>\n

About the project<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_empty_space height=\u00a0\u00bb10px\u00a0\u00bb][vc_column_text]The LIFE MySOIL<\/strong> project develops a competitive and innovative technology to demonstrate the feasibility of mycoremediation to remediate all petroleum-derived organic pollutants from aged industrial contaminated soils.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mycoremediation is a type of bioremediation that uses fungal inocula to degrade (or accumulate) pollutants. The advantage of mycoremediation is that it retains the benefits of bioremediation treatments, including low economic, social and environmental costs, while allowing high levels of contaminant removal to be achieved without the counterparts of traditional remediation strategies (e.g. incineration and thermal desorption).<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=\u00a0\u00bb.vc_custom_1682061352271{margin-bottom: 30px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;}\u00a0\u00bb][vc_column]
