[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The LIFE MySOIL project<\/a> was disseminated during the workshop \u201cSiCon 2023 Contaminated Sites \u2013 Experiences in Remediation Interventions<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u201d, that was held from February 8th <\/sup>to 10th<\/sup> at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of the Sapienza University of Rome<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Project partners Fiora Bagnato<\/strong>, from Eni Rewind<\/a>, Eni\u2019s environmental company, and Maurizio Petruccioli<\/strong>, from the University of Tuscia<\/a>, delivered the presentation \u201cEvaluating the feasibility of the clean-up of hydrocarbon-contaminated soils by mycoaugmentation: the LIFE MySOIL project<\/em><\/strong>\u201d during the special session 1A \u201cBioremediation for contaminated sites<\/em>\u201d, moderated by Maria Rosaria Boni<\/strong> and Igor Villani<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The presentation introduced the results of the biotreatability tests carried out in the <\/strong>Italian demonstration site<\/strong><\/a> of the project, as well as information about the small mesocosm preparation<\/strong>. Moreover, a general overview of LIFE MySOIL and the benefits of mycoremediation were presented.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=“4145″ img_size=“large“ alignment=“center“][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]The SiCon 2023 workshop<\/strong> hosted the presentation of different case studies and full-scale interventions for the rehabilitation and safety of contaminated sites<\/strong>.
